As we eagerly await the beginning of the new harvest season, preparations for the upcoming season at Omega Agro Group are in full swing. The past few weeks have been marked by important activities focused on improving our operations, strengthening partnerships, and further developing our production and logistics capacities.
Our team had the opportunity to visit the PLMA – Private Label Manufacturers Association trade fair in Amsterdam, one of the key international events in the field of private label products. During the fair, we became acquainted with the latest trends, requirements, and standards that are highly important for cooperation with leading retail chains. We also used our visit to the Netherlands to hold meetings with our partners and make additional preparations for the upcoming season.
Following a successful business trip, it was our great pleasure to attend the official opening of the cherry packing and sorting cold storage facility of BMK Agrar d.o.o. in Slankamen, our friends and partners. We would like to congratulate them on this important milestone and wish them great success in their future work.
This week, we also hosted our partners from Germany, with whom we visited the construction works on our cold storage facility, as well as table grape plantations in the area of Jagodina. We are proud of the pace at which the projects are progressing and of the fact that, with each step, we are getting closer to the new season and the first fruits of this year’s harvest.
We are especially proud that Omega Agro Group has successfully passed the audit for the LEAF Marque Standard. This is a global certification system confirming that food is produced in a sustainable way, with a high level of care for ecology, natural resources, and environmental protection.
Omega Agro Group is the first company in Serbia to receive this standard, further strengthening our position with customers in the European Union market. Alongside the existing Global G.A.P. and GRASP standards, LEAF Marque represents another confirmation of our commitment to quality, responsible production, and long-term sustainable development.
We continue our intensive preparations for the new season, with a clear goal of providing our partners and customers with products of the highest quality.
